Soil health challenge
The cross border Living Lab (TN/DZ-LL) is a transboundary initiative in northwestern Tunisia and northeastern Algeria. It addresses severe desertification and land degradation in North Africa. It focuses on improving soil management practices to combat erosion, declining fertility, water scarcity, and climate pressures. By testing sustainable, locally adapted practices, it aims to restore soil health, strengthen resilience, and support long-term land sustainability in vulnerable dryland regions.
