The Mission

By creating a network of Living Labs, the Nemesis project aims to co-create, test and validate soil management practices tackling different drivers of desertification and land degradation in the Mediterranean.

What we do

To combat desertification and reverse soil degradation in vulnerable regions of the Mediterranean, we ensure co-creation, validation and uptake of our outputs by communities through a comprehensive roadmap:

  1. Step 1

    Establish the Nemesis Living Labs (LLs).

  2. Step 2

    Create intervention strategies to combat desertification and reverse land degradation inside the LLs.

  3. Step 3

    Create a digital data ecosystem to link the LLs.

  4. Step 4

    Monitor the soil management solutions created within the LLs in a soil-health data harmonization framework.

  5. Step 5

    Include solutions against desertification and land degradation in innovative policies.

  6. Step 6

    Raise stakeholder awareness about desertification through social innovation.

  7. Step 7

    Ensure outreach, knowledge and innovation expansion through Open Calls.

  8. Step 8

    Build a post-project sustainability and exploitation strategy.
