Role within Nemesis
Within Nemesis, The Cyprus Institute contributes scientific expertise in climate modelling, environmental analysis, and scenario development. CyI develops desertification scenarios and Living Lab storylines, providing future projections that support place-based intervention strategies (WP2). By analysing key drivers of land degradation and modelling alternative pathways, CyI helps guide the prioritisation of actions tailored to each Living Lab’s context. Its work strengthens the forward-looking dimension of the project, ensuring that soil health solutions are grounded in robust scientific evidence and aligned with anticipated environmental and climate trends.
