Eratosthenes Centre of Excellence
Based in Cyprus, the Eratosthenes Centre of Excellence (ECoE) is a leading research and innovation hub specialising in Earth observation, geospatial information, and environmental monitoring. ECoE supports evidence-based decision-making through advanced technologies, data analytics, and interdisciplinary research, contributing to sustainable land management and climate resilience at regional and European level.
Role within Nemesis
As project coordinator, the ECoE provides the overall scientific, strategic, and administrative leadership of Nemesis. It ensures effective coordination among partners, oversees the implementation of activities across all work areas, and safeguards alignment with the project’s objectives and the EU Mission “A Soil Deal for Europe.” ECoE steers progress monitoring, risk management, and reporting to the European Commission, while fostering collaboration across the Living Labs. In addition, the Centre contributes its expertise in Earth observation and geospatial technologies to support soil health assessment, data integration, and evidence-based solutions within the project and as lead of the Cyprus Living Lab.
