Legambiente Lombardia is the regional branch in the region of Lombardy in northern Italy of Legambiente, one of Italy’s leading environmental organisations. It promotes environmental protection, sustainable land use, biodiversity conservation, and climate action through advocacy, community engagement, education, and collaboration with local authorities and other stakeholders such as universities, CSOs, schools, trade unions and professionals' associations
Role within Nemesis
Within Nemesis, Legambiente Lombardia contributes expertise in stakeholder engagement, environmental awareness, and participatory approaches. The organisation supports the Italian Living Lab by facilitating dialogue among farmers, citizens, local authorities, and civil society actors, strengthening multi-actor collaboration. Through outreach activities, workshops, and community-based initiatives, LML helps raise awareness about soil health challenges and promotes the uptake of sustainable land management practices. Its strong regional network enhances knowledge exchange and social acceptance of co-solutions, reinforcing the societal dimension of Nemesis and supporting the long-term embedding of project outcomes at local level.
