Role within Nemesis
Within Nemesis, INAT plays a central role in activities related to desertification and land degradation, particularly as the tunision lead of the North African cross boarder soil management Living Lab. INAT leads the data review and policy alignment for soil health and desertification (WP2) and contributes to monitoring and cost-benefit assessment activities (WP4). The institute provides scientific expertise in soil degradation processes, supports the development and evaluation of intervention strategies, and works closely with local stakeholders to test adapted co-solutions. INAT's regional knowledge strengthens the project’s capacity to address desertification challenges in vulnerable Mediterranean areas.
